Accused PG Killer Busted In Virginia After Nearly Three Years On The Run

An Alexandria man is behind bars after being accused of the murder of a 21-year-old Woodbridge man in Aldelphi in 2020.

Jose Linares, 34, was taken into custody after being connected to the murder of Payton Marshall that occurred on Sept. 7, 2020, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.

On Sept. 7, 2020, officers were called to the 1800 block of Metzerott Road after the 21-year-old Woodbridge man was found unresponsive inside a car in a nearby parking lot. 

Marshall was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigators say that Marshall and Linares were familiar with each other at the time of the murder.

Linares has been charged with first and second-degree murder, firearms offenses, and other related charges.
